I needed one for my portable Digital Audio Player(s) (Shanling m0 and Hidiz AP80) that have USB C Charging BUT ALSO you can pass sound through the port as well. The Apple USB C to 3.5mm jack. As well as passing digital files to a different DAC than the device it also amplified the signal very useful for harder to drive headphones. There is little to no Hiss for the AP80 but a little bit for the M0 both very very delightful. And a (Like the lightning equivalent) a Terrific bargain allowing FLAC and Higher Res files to be passed through. Now I am wondering what the USB C to Headphone AND power cord could do?

Surprising good clean sound.. Good dac but amplification is weak via Handphone can’t drive HD58x to high volume. But on Laptop the volume gets significantly louder.

Great little adapter to convert your 3.5mm Jack headphones into a USB C so you can plug it into your iPad or other USB -C device. works extremely well.

My last adaptor had ALOT of cracking and buzzing going on, this one has had none and is pretty cheap too.

I’d gotten a dedicated $100 USB mini-DAC/amp for use with my new USB-C phone and 3.5mm jack IEMs, but it boosted the volume so much, the sound was deafening at lowest volume using the sensitive IEMs.

This thing just works while having much lower (IMO usable) amplification, and it manages clean detailed sound in the process. No idea how they managed to squeeze a functioning DAC/AMP combo in that USB header but Apple did it, and for a great price too.

Basically the ideal way to use your current on-the-go earbuds with a USB-C phone.

Quite neutral and more than decent sound for sub $10 USD.

It can’t power demanding headphones, but for most IEMs it is sufficient, other than some outliers that have low sensitivity/high impedance, eg Final E5000.

I bought a new to me phone that doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack but wanted to be able to use my good quality wired headphones. This item does the job.

The white cable between the two ends is pretty soft and thin (compard to my audio cable on my headphones). Whilst the dongle is working fine at the moment, I take extra care with this cable to stop it wearing out/ breaking any wires.
