I’ve been using them nearly everyday and they’re very comfortable for long periods of use.

It was very frustrating trying to fit them onto my HyperX Cloud II headphones but once fitted they are fantastic. Very comfortable.

Update – they have now started leaking black dye onto everything they touch, they lasted about 7 weeks before this began to happen.

    What a ripoff

I am using this with a sennheiser hd6xx since the original earpads have become flat and provides no support. These require an adapter to work with the sennheisers, which arrive to me broken because it’s just a crappy 3d printed thing, but thats another story.

Firstly, the positives. These are one of the most comfortable earpads i’ve ever used. It’s super soft and thick foam (it’s honestly too thick). Its not the greatest quality foam but it was perfectly adequate. Because of the hybrid design my ears dont get warm overtime.

Where these fall apart is the sound. It changes the sound and makes it horrible.
Now I am not an audiophile, im just a casual listener and use my headphones mostly for spotify, youtube and discord, so my assesment might be inaccurate but, these made it sound bassy and echoey. honestly i cant really describe it but everything just sound bad.
Their quality is also pretty bad. The stitching is inconsistent and its not semetrical on mine on one of the its not oval but more square at the bottom. But just one side… the other one was okay.

Only get these for comfort and nothing else.

These are very comfy and fit the ATH-M50x headsets perfectly. If you have a pet it’s probably best to avoid. After I opened these up it took 30 seconds for every piece of cat hair in the house to merge with the earpads.

The only other downside is sound leakage. When using them on a closed back headphone it increases the sound leakage a lot. I would avoid using them if you’re trying to be quiet like when you’re at work or in my case, while my partner is trying to watch TV and for some reason she doesn’t want to hear Blue Oyster Cult blasting from the phones.

Got these due to the stock ear pads for my ATH-M50X’s starting to deteriorate, with the pleather coming off in pretty sizable areas.

These are much more comfortable than the stock pads, very nice and plush + I much prefer the texture of velour compared to pleather.

The only problem with these is that they pretty significantly change the sound signature of the headphones, resulting in wayyy less sub/bass, but I was able to overcome this with a ~6db shelf around 300hz in my audio equaliser. I think the high end is a touch brighter with these as well, but not anything that’s too noticeable/annoying for me.

Theses are excellent ear pads and I use them on my Focal Clear Professional, they are more comfortable than the originals and do not have any effect on the sound. A word of caution you will need to trim them in order for them to fit on the attaching rings which can be retrieved from a well used set of original ear pads.

Buyers beware that these ear cups definitely change the sound profile significantly. It seems to be more muffled and less clear. There’s more sound leakage from the outside in as well.

The cushion is quite thick but not as soft as I would have liked. I put these on my hyperx and find the comfort just ordinary. In fact my ears started to hurt. The original set that I wore out are much better. Sound quality is the same.

Ordered for Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and has transformed them from a head vice to very comfortable.
Was going to try the newer Momentum 3.0 as they have very slightly larger earpads than the 2.0, but these saved me a few hundred quid, as gave up waiting for Sennheiser support to bother replying with the actual dimensions of the 3.0 before shelling out – many thanks to Brainwavz, excellent product, highly recommend.

I got the Micro Suede and it came super quick, and it’s really comfortable and good quality.

The only major deal breaker for me is that it significantly changes the sound of my M50X BT. I noticed significant reduction in sub bass punch and a more pronounced treble. I’m quite particular about my sound and I use these headphones for editing and sound mixing, so getting a good balanced sound is crucial for me, more important than comfort.

TDLR; super comfortable ear pads that are relatively easy to put on my M50X BT, however they change the sound too much to the point where I would not use them. It’s probably due to a larger air-gap, combined with the thicker foam that absorbs a lot of the sub bass.

Don’t be put off with your first listen. I bought these to replace my dilapidated stock earpads on my ATH M50xs. The leather was so worn that when it came to replacing them with these, they started to split. To be fair, they do sound so much more tinny on first listen, but of course they will. Your old earpads will have softened up and moved closer to your ear; making the audio sound like it has more bass. The opposite effect happened when i first heard my M50xs with these new earpeads.

What I’m doing for now is, I’ve cut out the black cone foam from the stock earpads and tucked them into these. They sound better (with a bit of mid loss), as the material is much thinner there on these. Until the memory foam starts to do its job and compress over time, i might compress them overnight with something lightweight on top of the headphones.

Overall; these are really comfortable as replacements of OLD earpads. The velour fabric is really nice to have over your head for long period of time. Don’t replace the stock headphone earpads out of the box. They will always sound better for the headphone they are built for.

Though I rate the sennheiser HD 4.50 as a very solid performer in the crowded & competitive over-ear ANC headphone category the cans are let down by a fairly unforgiving set of ear pads. They’re small, hard and unbreathing – its a very obvious downside of the competitive pricing of an otherwise pretty good-performing headphones.

the ear pads from Brainwavz have improved the comfort of wearing the headphones enormously. They’re larger than stock – which means my ears are comfortably encircled by the cans now. The Microsude material is soft and comfortable. I’ve noticed no discernable difference in the Noise Cancelling capability of the the cans, nore have i experienced any reduction or alteration to the soundstage with the replacement pads – but I HAVE noticed how much more comfortable they are to use. I’ve very happy with the purchase. I was unsure if the pads would fit this set of cans – but they do. Nicely. They’re relatively easy to attach to the cans (and this from someone who always finds putting earpads on cans a bit fiddly). In short, I reckon these replacement pads were well worth the cost. I’m enjoying using the headphones and listening to my music more.

These things are brilliant. For my M40X’s I found that the bass response becomes more neutral and flatter, cleaner in my opinion and less muddy, admittedly though the high end has lost some clarity but not by a large amount in comparison to the original pads and a worthwhile tradeoff for the changes brought to the low end. The deeper pads seem to widen the soundstage too but that could be a placebo. Substantially more comfortable than the oem pads too and slightly larger, awesome if you have stretched ears. Outside noise does bleed in a bit more due to the lesser quality seal admittedly though
