The straps and grips on these are great and the cork in particular seemed high quality. I mostly used these without gloves and as somone with very sweaty palms I never had an issue with these. I’m 6’2 and 90kg and found these adequately long and strong enough for my needs, although they do flex quite a bit when I really press into them. I wouldn’t trust them to take my full weight but they’ve saved me a fair few sprains when I slipped. Weight is amazing on these, just 408g for the pair.
Bad points: – The locks are a weak point, particularly the clear plastic knobs which tighten the locking mechanism. Mine have all cracked. – Despite the claims of the supplier the tips do not last forever. Mine wore out after around 200 miles. One has completely worn away the tungsten tip and is down to the steel part, while the other is completely gone! It’s a shame you can’t get replacements. – After about 100 miles I noticed quite a lot more noise from one than the other. I tightened everything and never figured it out, one just felt much more wobbly. They’re definitely not the quietest poles.
Overall I’d say 200 miles is not bad for £40 and they were enough to convince me that I liked using poles, however in the interests of the environment I won’t buy these again and will look for something more hardwearing.

Arrived quickly and put them to work straight away. very light and give me confidence going up or down inclines/declines. Lighter than my wife’s new Lekki’s that cost her over $300.. Real carbon fibre, not aluminium. Proof you dont need to spend too much.. Fit nice in my day pack and dont add weight on my back when i dont need them. Good height adjustments, but only problem i feel could be an issue down the track are the plastic clips that adjust the height. Holding up well for now so cant complain but if theres going to be a failure point down the track it will be those clips. But for the price they are 4-6 times cheaper than something comparable, i feel pretty good about buying them.

These poles are excellent value for money and I’d highly recommend them. They got me up (and down) plenty of hills in the Snowy Mountains (pic taken from summit of Mt Jagungal). Wasn’t sure whether I needed poles, so these were a great entry point. Very happy with decision.
Pros: 1) Price. $50 is great value for money considering hiking poles can sell for $200 2) Weight. Super light weight being made from carbon fiber (540g) 3) Accessories. Storage bag is handy, and the tip accessories are all you need. 4) Suits tall people. I’m 6’6 and still didn’t have to extend them to full length. 5) Quick delivery. These were a late inclusion for a trip and received them within 2 days.
Cons: * lost both rubber tip protectors in marshy bog, but I suspect this would happen to all poles.

Super light weight compared to the aluminum “bricks” I was using prior to these. My first pair of walking poles was also by Fit Life and I was very happy with them until I wore them out by snapping the tips off. Believe me I had to work at that. I could have continued to use them and just replaced tips etc., but they didn’t owe me anything as they were quite inexpensive to begin with so I sprung for the deluxe carbon fibre ones (reasonably priced as well) and boy am I ever glad I did! They are just as well-made as the aluminum ones with just as many accessories but the wrist straps and the cork hand grips are an improvement – much more comfortable. The flip pole length adjusters are a terrific improvement as well over the previous design. No slippage. However, and here is the reason for my four star rating, if you’ve never used this kind of screw mechanism, you will not know how to tighten the plastic bit and you will have a horrible time trying to keep the polls from sliding out of position. When I went on my first walk using them, this happened to me until I just gave up and carried the poles home. My husband was familiar with this type of screw tightening mechanism and adjusted it simply and easily. Very embarrassing. But I am ecstatic that the clips will not move until I want them to move. Perhaps a diagram included in the accessory bag on how to tighten the clips would be useful for people like me.
