I love these earbuds. They are really comfortable in my ears. I usually have a problem with comfort, but the shape of these are perfect. I’m also really happy with how promptly they arrived.

Good bass and clarity when hearing music but when calling in noisy areas then it gets hard to hear clearly like when I’m walking on the side of the road.

They sounds pretty great, very loud, with ample base (perhaps even too much base). I’ve been looking for a replacement for my old Baseus enock earphones (manufacturing was discontinued), and these are a perfect fit.
    10/10 Highly recommended.

This is my review of the new Tozo A3 wireless headphones that are similar in style to the apple AirPods.

    Unboxing:
Included in the box is the headphones in their case, instructions and quick set up guide, and a usb-c charger – you need to have your own usb to wall device. But who doesn’t these days!

    Case:
The case is slick high polished white plastic with a snap magnetic hinge to keep the headphones in place. It has a reset button on the bottom and a battery indicator light showing how much charge left. It runs from green to amber and red. Green is 80-100%. Orange very vague at 20-80, and red 20. But at least you know when to charge up.

The headphones magnetically snap down into their seats in the case so they’re kept secure even with the lid open. They light up with a white glow when you open and immediately go about pairing with a device. This was as easy as going to the Bluetooth on my iPhone and clicking the A3’s and done. From then on as soon as you flip the case lid they pair.

    Headphones:
They’re a nice mix of curves and angular plastic that sit comfortably and securely in my ears. No danger of them falling out when moving around and the toil is short enough not to catch on things like a bag or jumper or scarf.
You get loads of tap features with these from the expected play, pause, skip to calling Siri, and even adjusting the volume up and down just with sequences of taps and holds. Once you learn them it’s really easy.
When you’re finished just put them back in the case, shut the lid and they disconnect. That simple.
You can also use them as hands free for phone calls and it seems to handle call quality fairly well on test.

    Sound:
They sound pretty good for the price. Good amounts of bass but some well tuned treble and mids. They’re probably a bit more of the bass side but the phone eq can adjust that. They go nice and loud though, I can listen to my iPods on max if it’s noisy, but these I only go about half to 3/4 and that’s enough. The music is better about half volume and sound far clearer than at low volumes though.

    Battery:
Time will tell in real world use but we’re quoted 5.5 hours which is more than long enough for any of my commuting and journeys.

    Overall:
A great set of in ear headphones that won’t break the bank. Yes you can get higher quality sound out there, but for the price and size these are a perfect pair of headphones for those who want convenience of a pocket sized package. Great for music, audiobooks and all your listening and phone call needs.

Complimentary set of TOZO A3 earbuds reviewed

These earbuds were a surprise for their price point. Build quality is excellent. Sound quality is excellent. Play time on a single charge is very good. Recharge time when inserted in the case is fast. The LED indicators are discrete, giving subtle indications of the status of the buds and the case. The reset button on the case is handy if you often want to pair the buds with different devices. The touch controls on the buds are intuitive and work well, allowing access to phone and music controls as well as to the assistant on your device.

The buds themselves are very smooth, which caused me some problems removing them from the case if my fingers weren’t dry. It took a while to get used to the buds hanging on the ear rather than plugging into the ear canal. However, because of their light weight, in this position they can be worn very comfortably for a long time … often it was hard to remember that they were there. Depending on your ear shape, they may not be suitable for activities where very vigorous head movement occurs. The bud stems are shaped, so that you cannot mistakenly insert them into the case the wrong way around. The case is compact and will easily fit in a pocket.

Overall, impressive, and a bargain at the price.

The Tozo A3 half in-ear True wireless earbuds look, on the face of it, like Apple Airpods copies. Since I bought my mother a pair of Apple Airpods for her birthday, a direct comparison seemed a must.

What I found on close inspection:

The feel and build quality are so similar between the Airpods and the A3 earbuds you might think they were made in the same Chinese factory. The Airpods lid was a bit loose, though. The A3 earbuds have larger heads than the Airpods, housing the larger drivers, whereas the Airpods have longer stalks.

I paired the Tozo A3 Earbuds quickly with my Samsung phone but could not even get my phone to recognise the Apple Airpods, no matter what I tried. So sound quality would need to be compared, with the Airpods paired to my mother’s phone using whatever music she had downloaded and the A3 Earbuds paired with my phone, using identical tracks found on Spotify.

On sound quality the A3 Earbuds won hands down with a much fuller, richer sound. The only criticism that could be levelled at the A3 Earbuds sound was that when playing the music, I listen to in the gym, it could possibly be described as a bit too bass heavy, which some might prefer. Otherwise, the A3 Earbuds sound significantly better.

Both Airpods and A3 Earbuds are half in-ear which does not give any of the passive sound isolation that you would get with in-ear or over-ear headphones, so you can hear a lot of the world around you. For instance, near a busy road you will hear the sound of the traffic. On the downside this means that your music can get drowned out by that noise around you, unless you turn the sound up which can be done to great effect on the A3 Earbuds. However, on the upside at least you know what is happening around you which can be so much safer and more reassuring. So, great for using when you go out running and so much safer than using in-ear or over-ear headphones whilst cycling, which I have seen my daughter do, to my horror.

As for fit, the larger heads and shorter stems of the A3 Earbuds mean that they are even more secure in your ears than the Apple Airpods. Both are equally comfortable to wear, especially for those who do not like the feel of anything in their ears, like my mother.

Connection wise the A3 Earbuds use Bluetooth 5.3, whereas the Airpods, as far as I can tell, use Bluetooth 4.0. Bluetooth 5.3 gives a more stable connection and uses less power, so better connection to your device and better battery life can be assumed.

Neither of the charging cases have wireless charging, the A3 Earbuds charge using a conventional USB-c connection, while the Airpods use an Apple connection. Other options are available for the Airpods, but are even more expensive.

On cost, the A3 Earbuds are significantly less expensive than the Airpods: £16.99 for the A3 Earbuds vs £109.00 for the Airpods. Overall, the Tozo A3 Earbuds are excellent value for money and beat the Apple Airpods 2nd Generation, hands down. However, it should be noted that both being half-in ear earphones, they are very different beasts to in-ear or over-ear headphones, with their associated pros and cons.

The main reason I got these is for phone calls – I have other bluetooth earbuds I use for music etc but found that the microphone was lacking so decided to try the A3. The microphone is a lot better on these so I’m happy, I keep the case in my bag and use them if I need to make some phone calls on the go, and the person on the other end mentioned it sounds miles better (hard to evaluate mic quality without having to cringe at listening to your own recorded voice haha).
The case is fairly small and sleek, and the earbuds themselves are the hard plastic kind, no silicone attachments for different sizes, so may be an issue for some folk though it works fine for me.

I purchased these pods because I have used TOZO products before. The price for this style of pod was very attractive but I wasn’t sure whether the quality would be up to the major (fruity) seller of similar item. However these pods come in a beautifully designed and small case which recharges when the pods are put back after use. My partner wanted to try them out and decided that they were just what she wanted because she was not a fan of the fully in-ear buds (these fit in the outer ear comfortably). Pairing was almost instantaneous with my own Samsung S21 phone and her Samsung A20 series.

Because of the small case size they are an easy item for my partner to keep in her purse. Previously she had not used Bluetooth phones out of habit, now she appreciates the benefits of not having a long cable to deal with. Sound quality is good with enough Bass that belies the size of these pods.

I have no problem in recommending the A3 Wireless 5.3 Half in-ear Light weight Earphones – very comfortable and god quakity sound reproduction.

    Tozo A3 72 hour test

I bought one pair of Tozo A2 and one pair of Tozo A3 on 07 December 2022.

The Tozo A3 buds are a very snug and comfortable fit. The ‘half’ in ear ‘fit’ takes a bit of getting used to. I compared them to my wife’s new £250 Apple AirPods Pro. The difference in sound quality is barely discernible.

I paid £33.29 for them, so 13.50% of the cost of the Apple AirPod Pros. I have just noted the A3 Buds price has recently dropped to £16.99 (6.80% of the Apple AirPods Pro cost).

I wear buds for between 6 and 12 hours a day, so comfort and ‘fitness for purpose’ are of paramount importance to me. The A3 buds score very well. Call clarity was good on all of the platforms I use (MS Teams, WhatsApp, WeChat, Viber etc). Remembering which bud to tap and for how many times was a bit of a challenge, but I got much better as the usage test progressed. Auto connecting between my various Apple devices was very easy, so switching between devices was not problematic in any way.

The buds paired automatically and seamlessly with my iPhone 23 Pro Max, switching between it, my Apple iPad Pro my M1 iMac and M2 MacBook Air and never let me down during my circa 36 hour usage test. Battery life is impressive, recharge times ditto.

I am now using the A3 buds for about an hour or so each day, walking the dogs.

Good price, work well. Not super sensitive to movement like others and decent consistent sound quality.

So, I really only have my airpods to compare it to. Personally, I think I prefer how music sounds through my airpods but these are still quite good.

The sound is pretty decent, and the bass is strong which is both good and bad for me. On one hand, love hearing the bass so well. On the other, it’s a little too much, and sort of drowns out the music in my opinion.

I personally also like the fit, at first glance I was worried they’d be a little uncomfortable but they actually fit fine and I don’t feel any need to adjust them.

Overall, decent quality considering the price, but unless you like excessive bass, probably better for audiobooks, podcasts, etc rather than music.
